The three types of electronic signatures in WEDO:

The law recognized three types of electronic signatures, each differing in their application scope and legal validity.

  • Simple Electronic Signature (SES)

  • Advanced Electronic Signature (AES)

  • Qualified Electronic Signature (QES)

WEDO's electronic signatures are legally valid and comply with European and Swiss regulations.

Which Signature to choose for my meeting minutes?

For minutes with no formal legal requirements and minimal liability risk: Simple Electronic Signature.

For minutes with no formal legal requirements but a moderate, calculable liability risk: Advanced Electronic Signature.

For minutes subject to formal legal requirements or with a high liability risk: Qualified Electronic Signature (equivalent to a handwritten signature).

How does it work?

Simple Electronic Signature: This signature is generated directly on the WEDO platform, with no need for identity validation by a trusted service provider.

Advanced Electronic Signature: Requires an account with a trusted service provider, which can be created directly via the WEDO platform.

Qualified Electronic Signature (equivalent to a handwritten signature): For maximum security, a QES requires prior registration and ID-Check with our trusted service provider: Swisscom.
